For a vast majority of lawyers, business development is the most mysterious area of legal practice. Because of the perceived complexity and uncertainty involved, most early-stage law firms never end up formalising it. Instead, they end up drowning in a sea of new-age marketing tactics or ‘shiny objects’, which are often chosen reactively in search of new business.
